A total of 8.9 GWh, 9.27 million CELs and 1.18 GW of capacity where awarded in the 2nd Long Term Auction to 16 companies through ~30 different projects. The marginal price for energy and CELs was set at ~40.1 USD/MWh+CEL, while the average weighted price hit a new record at ~33,5 USD/MWh+CEL. The PRODESEN encompasses the plan for the National Electricity System and gathers the relevant elements of the indicative programs for the commission and decommission of power plants as well as the enlargement and upgrade programs for the national transmission grid and the general distribution networks.
Eleven packages of wind and solar projects and certificates were sold at an average price of $47.5 per megawatt-hour. CENACE has updated the results of its first electricity auction due to an error in the evaluation process.
